The reason that is good news is that our journey together has come to a successful end!

Case Harrison from Gainesville, Florida has accepted a preferred walk on position at the University of Florida to play football for the Gators! Congratulations to Case!

Also gratifying is what came in the note from his Mom. It said:

Thank you for all your help and support with our site. You were very professional, accessible and helpful – it is greatly appreciated.

This is why we do what we do. It is about helping people and then celebrating the end to a successful journey.

Good luck this Fall, Case! We will be cheering you on!

We are thankful when one of our athletes gives us feedback on our athlete profile websites. We use their comments to improve our services and to celebrate when they have a good experience. Today, a celebration. This is from the father of one of our athletes in Michigan – Kim Waters. Kim is a talented multi-sport athlete and a great student too! They have done a great job not only taking advantage of the functionality in the site but adding their own touch to extend the site even further. Check out the site at http://kimberlywaters.prospectsites.com

“Prospectsites.com is a great tool for athletes to use to get organized and get their profile online. We found the site easy to use, and navigate and were quickly able to get Kim’s page up and running. Within a few hours we had some photos posted and starting filling in some basics. Next it was time to start customizing it, then step back and consider how others might view the content. We are in the process of fine-tuning it and will be inviting coaches to view it in the near future. One of the things we like most is the ability to customize the pages and tailor it to match Kim’s athletic profile. She plays several sports and your site makes it simple to list all of them.

I will be looking for additional ways to really take advantage of what this site has to offer.

I would definitely recommend you to anyone who wants to create an online profile. I have a few people in mind and will send them your way.” Tim

A question that I get frequently is “how long does it take to put together an athlete profile”? The answer is less than 48 hours. How? Read on…..

The internet takes the traditional paper athlete profile and makes it obsolete. In the past, you had to find someone to help you with your profile. That process could take weeks while you gather up your information, send it to a company who helps you put it together and then work back and forth until it is ready. Then, several more weeks as you send out letters and DVDs to coaches and then “wait and hope” to hear from them.

Today, you can go online (we believe prospectsites.com is a great place to go!), create an online athlete profile and then complete your own website and have it ready to be marketed within 48 hours.

All you need to do is have your information ready including your stats, your GPA, a list of references, news stories, photos and youtube videos and you can have a fully completed profile that a college coach can see and make the decision to add you to their recruiting efforts instantly.

And, we can prove it. Join prospectsites.com and see how fast you can be live and ready to be recruited by college coaches. Money back guarantee if we do not deliver!

I had a great talk yesterday with the mother of a basketball player in Jacksonville, Florida who is considering our services. We talked about the recruiting process and how confusing it can be. When I explained to her how easy and inexpensive it was, she was excited and surprised how easy and affordable it can be to have a prospectsites.com athlete profile website and market her son. It also reminded me that now would be a good time to write a quick article on how inexpensive recruiting can be if you do it right.

So, here’s the cost and the process for marketing yourself to college coaches with our athlete profile.

The Profile

We have the most complete and high quality profile online. Don’t take our word for it, visit our articles page and see what our clients have to say!

Just $9.95 to set up and $4.95 per month.

One year cost is under $70

Access to College Coaches

We recommend using collegiatedirectories.com.

Includes access to the email addresses for colleges and college coaches.

Annual cost is $29.95

Your Athlete Profile Video

We offer this service, you can do it yourself or there are other companies online that can help

Costs range from $100 – 150 (from us) depending on how much time it takes us to find the clips. It is much less expensive if you provide us with several clips and let us edit the video to the most important plays to ensure that coaches will watch the video

So, total cost, including the video can be as low as $200! And, imagine the return on your investment if the recruiting process results in just $1000 in scholarship money or how far your investment goes if you receive $10,000 or more!

We invite you to compare what we offer to anybody out there. I think you will find it hard to find a better value.

Join us on the journey of getting scholarship money for your high school athlete. Join the prospectsites.com team!

John

Preparing to be recruited by college coaches is a very important task. It is extremely important to you include enough information for a college coach to become interested and then ask you to take the next step – a college visit.

So, we will talk about what you need to include in your athlete profile in this article.

The Basics

Profile picture

Name

Address

Telephone number

High School

Height

Weight

Academic Achievements

GPA

Class Rank

Extracurricular Activities

Include any other activities that you are participating in including:

Student Government

National Honor Society

Your Church

Other Community Involvement

Your Story

I highly recommend that you write a brief but informational life story about yourself. The story should be about you as an athlete, a student and an individual. Write what sets you apart in all three areas. Write confidently but not selfishly. Remember, you are a team player but it is important to tell the story of how hard you have worked and applied yourself

Pictures

Include multiple pictures of yourself in action and making great plays. Find those photos that show off your physical abilities

Videos

This is hugely important – maybe the most important thing when it comes to recruiting. Put together a 3 – 4 minute video of your accomplishments athletically so a coach can see you at “game speed.” We can help you or there are many other options. Or, you can do it yourself. We have a whole article dedicated to the subject by clicking here:

http://prospectsites.com/advice-on-creating-your-own-sports-highlight-video/

References

Also a big deal. Get your references lined up and committed to help you. And, make sure these are people who are going to be recognized by a college coach. Your high school coaches, teachers, summer coaches, etc. are excellent references to pull together. Of course, if you know an alumni from the school you are interested, another great source of support.

Contact Information

Make it easy for coaches to get in touch with you. We have a contact page on our websites which make it very easy for a coach to get in touch.

As always, we are here to help. Take a tour of some of our athlete profiles so you can see some of the great work our prospects have done to showcase themselves.

Call on us anytime. Have a great balance of the summer!

But college athletics is a competitive business, with thousands of talented athletes vying for a limited number of spots.

With so much at stake, how do you attract the attention of coaches and make a great impression?

Today’s College Recruiting Tool – the Athlete Profile

Most college coaches have limited funds for recruiting. They can’t afford to travel to every school to see every athlete.

Instead, they are using tools such as online athlete profiles to identify high school students who excel in their sport and in the classroom.

In fact, if you want to get recruited for college sports, an athlete profile is a necessity.

An athlete profile is a website that organizes and displays information about you. It gives coaches a real feel for who you are, as an athlete and as an individual.

Best of all, an athlete profile lets you market yourself in a cost-effective way. It’s easy to share your profile with coaches and recruiters, simply by sending them the link in an email.

What Goes into an Athlete Profile?

Your profile has different sections for the information that most recruiters need to know.

The home page is an overview of your athletic qualifications. You’ll want to upload a clear head shot photo where you are smiling – this gives a positive first impression.

The “about me” page is where you tell your story. Talk about your sports career and your academic record. Remember that college coaches are interested in more than just your athletic ability. They want to see evidence of good character. So mention your extra-curricular activities and outside interests, too.

The stats page is for detailed statistics from your athletic career. Include stats from past years to show how you’ve progressed as an athlete.

There’s a page in your profile for news stories about your performance in games or tournaments. If you have clippings from local or school papers, use them here.

Your athlete profile has room for photos and videos. Upload action photos of yourself making a great play or practicing your skills.

These days, video is an essential part of your athlete profile. Some coaches won’t even look at profiles without video. It truly is the best way to show off your talents. Upload videos of yourself training in your sport, as well as footage of actual games or events.

If you have letters of recommendation from high school coaches or teachers, you can upload them to the appropriate section.

Finally, provide contact information so that recruiters can get in touch with you. Double-check that it’s accurate.

Tips for Creating an Outstanding Athlete Profile

Put time and effort into your profile. Be sure to fill out every section completely. Don’t leave gaps.

Show yourself in the best light. Make sure that prospective coaches know about your unique talents and accomplishments. But don’t exaggerate or lie about anything.

Video is extremely powerful. Coaches need to see enough footage to evaluate your skills, but they don’t have time to watch an entire game. Choose video footage that clearly demonstrates your strengths. If you don’t have access to a video camera, you can shoot great footage with a cell phone.

Keep your profile updated with the most recent information and stats. Upload new photos and videos, and revise your story as needed.

Remember

If you’re a high school athlete who aspires to play at the next level, you must take steps to market yourself. Don’t wait for recruiters to find you. Reach out and email coaches at the colleges of your choice.
