College Recruiting and Why We Were Created
ProspectSites.com was founded on the principle of giving serious high school athletes the ability to improve their college recruiting chances by showcasing their talents online and sharing those talents with college coaches so that they can get recruited and perhaps even earn an athletic scholarship.
My name is John Swigard. I am the father of 2 high school athletes and we live near Dayton, Ohio. I am currently a VP and Account Director with a major television ratings company, former Director of Marketing for a mid-sized manufacturer and a former sales and marketing manager for the Ford Motor Company where I spent 23 years.
My sons and I have been chasing their dream (yes, and mine!) of becoming college baseball players since they played Little League. I realized that for my sons to get the exposure they needed, I would need to develop a method to give them an opportunity to connect with college coaches and do so efficiently.
In the process, I realized that there are likely great athletes across America who might not get a chance to play at the next level due to circumstances beyond their control.
That is when I realized that Prospect Sites could be the mechanism to level the playing field and give them a chance to get exposure to coaches at the collegiate level.
